Buyer’s steps for FFL transfers from online firearm sales.
- First, purchase a firearm from an online source.
- Then, receive paid in full confirmation.
- Next, notify The Gun Doctor with contact information and also, purchase verification.
- The Gun Doctor then, notifies buyer when firearm is available for pick up.
- In order to receive firearm, federal law requires buyer to complete Firearm Transaction Record, form 4473.

Steps for Firearm transfers for private US citizens.
- First, Contact us or your local FFL dealer.
- If the firearm is being transferred to SC, notify The Gun Doctor of shipment.
- Receiver is then notified when firearm is available for pick up from our store.
- Then, receiver must complete Firearm Transaction Record, form 4473.
- A transfer fee is charged, accordingly.
Consignment
We allow consignments on most scopes and firearms. Bring in your used guns or out of date scopes to consign with us.
Now, how does consignment work?
First, The Gun Doctor and owner agree on a fair price. Then, the owner of the property signs an agreement with The Gun Doctor. We display your items, along side our own. We notify you when your item sells. Then, you will have ten (10) business days to pick up your cash money. Or, choose to receive a check by mail. The contract limits, costs, and fees addressed in the store.
Layaway
Most items in our store are available for layaway. Our layaway plan is up to three (3) months. Customer pays at least, bi-monthly payments. Initial deposit amount is 25% of total sale. There is a non-refundable fee deducted for items left over three (3) months.
FIREARM PURCHASES
Concerning customers purchasing firearms from THE GUN DOCTOR. After the NICS background check interview has been conducted and/or paperwork filled out by a store employee, if customer is DENIED or DECIDES to withdraw from purchase, a $10 filing fee will be charged and other monies refunded.
